Great game and great studio

I initially gave this game a 4 star rating due to the length of the game being too short (2-5 hours) as well as many things left unexplained in the story. But after some consideration I changed to 5 because the effort the studio took in this game. The gameplay itself is enjoyable with good level designs and good models. Characters are memorable and the lore is very interesting. More importantly, everything in this game demonstrates the sheer passion the developers has behind this project. From motion captures of cats, cyber punk city designs, the quality of life interactions in the game all spoke to the efforts the developers took to make the cat feels real. For a studio with less than 20 people, to create this kind of game take tremendous effort and they certainly took risks. The game doesn't cost that much either So it no longer seems fair to dock a star for game length. As gamers, we should support studios like BlueTwelve that still believe in games being arts rather than a corporate project. I hope this studio continues to make games like this. Gamers certainly need this.

Lost, alone and separated from family, a stray cat must untangle an ancient mystery to escape a long-forgotten city.

Stray is a third-person cat adventure game set amidst the detailed, neon-lit alleys of a decaying cybercity and the murky environments of its seedy underbelly. Roam surroundings high and low, defend against unforeseen threats and solve the mysteries of this unwelcoming place inhabited by curious droids and dangerous creatures.

See the world through the eyes of a cat and interact with the environment in playful ways. Be stealthy, nimble, silly, and sometimes as annoying as possible with the strange inhabitants of this mysterious world.

Along the way, the cat befriends a small flying drone, known only as B-12. With the help of this newfound companion, the duo must find a way out.

Stray is developed by BlueTwelve Studio, a small team from the south of France mostly made up of cats and a handful of humans.
