Itsuki Kusumegi, a sophomore at Fujikawa High School affiliated with Keiyo University, has a fiancée whose name and appearance are unknown. Thanks to her, Itsuki has never been interested in love.
In about a month, on his 17th birthday, Aoi will learn the true identity of his fiancée.
One day, Itsuki goes to a party at Fujikawa's Ressac Family Restaurant to cheer up a classmate who has fallen out of love, and gets into an argument with a waitress who works as a part-time employee at the restaurant. The waitress, Sae Suomiya, happens to be Itsuki's senior classmate.
Although the encounter goes badly, Itsuki is attracted to Sae's mature demeanor and looks up to her with both longing and respect.
Seeing this, Itsuki's childhood friend, Neno Amaha, starts to fully support his feelings.
