＜About Gundam Ground Type＞
As development plans for a primary mass-produced MS proceeded apace, based on feedback from Operation V, the frontlines remained without means to resist the
Principality of Zeon Forces' MS. In response to their desperate pleas for aid, some of the leftover parts from the development of the Gundam were used to produce a small advance number of this MS.

While that may make it sound like nothing more than a stopgap, in actual fact, using the high spec parts of the Gundam created an MS with far greater capabilities than expected.

Although lacking strong characteristics, it has high all-round specs and can cover everything from melee to ranged combat by changing the equipment it uses.

However, the lack of spare parts created many maintenance and operation restrictions, and in some cases, seriously damaged parts were replaced with GM Ground Type parts or other locally sourced machinery, creating a number of unique MS.
