"DARWIN 4078" is a shooting game released by Data East in 1986.
Your ship evolves by absorbing life forms that it converts into energy, and changes shape as well as evolving new attacks and characteristics.
There are also mutations that do not follow the evolutionary path, and you can end up with unique ships you never would have imagined!

The "Arcade Archives" series has faithfully reproduced many classic Arcade masterpieces.
Players can change various game settings such as game difficulty, and also reproduce the atmosphere of arcade display settings at that time. Players can also compete against each other from all over the world with their high scores.
