The protagonist, whose name has been erased by the curse itself, is known only as the Drifter. His blood is infected with the "Ghost Plague"—an ancient malady that slowly transforms its bearer into an aggressive specter, losing its connection to the world of the living. With each passing day, he feels the world of the dead more intensely and belongs to himself less and less. His last hope becomes the legend of the "Ghost Blood Elixir"—an alchemical concoction said not to cure, but to subdue the curse, granting the bearer control over his demonic nature.

His final destination is the massive necropolis of "Eternal Repose," a place of power where the veil between worlds is almost nonexistent. From the first step, the Drifter realizes the cemetery reacts to his cursed blood. Graves burst open, yielding not mere zombies, but "Wandering Remains"—skeletons clad in the rotten uniforms of an ancient guard, their bones grown through with rusty metal spikes. They see him as one of their own—an aberration that must be destroyed.

The ghosts, "Whispering Shades," appear to him as his own past victims and forgotten memories. They don't just frighten—they accuse, tempt, and urge him to surrender, to become one of them, for he is already half-dead. Each encounter is a test of his will to live and a key to understanding the nature of his curse.

The cemetery's riddles are the "Seals of Oblivion," magical barriers blocking the path to the elixir creator's crypt. To break them, the Drifter must perform ritual sacrifices: leaving parts of himself on altars—a drop of blood, a fragment of memory, a moment of genuine terror. With each sacrifice, his cursed blood rages stronger, granting new, dangerous abilities but pushing him closer to the point of no return.

The final price for the elixir is horrifying. To create it, one must not mix ingredients, but consume the "Core of the Curse"—the ancient progenitor spirit of the Ghost Plague, imprisoned in the central crypt. By defeating it, the Drifter gains control over his power but permanently blurs the line between man and monster. He saves his life but becomes something else—a master of ghost blood, forever walking the edge between two worlds.
