Without warning, mysterious spaces known as “Otherworlds” begin to appear.
A 17-year-old girl, Leona Minazuki, joins the government-established Special Hazard Sector Response Office as an investigator in order to find a missing friend who vanished within one of these Otherworlds.

On her very first mission, as numerous investigators fall, a strange power awakens within her.

As one of the few survivors, she descends deeper into the abyss of the Otherworld.
