Great Game but horrible performance on PS5

If you’re playing Hollow Knight (the PS4 version streaming on PS5 via PlayStation Plus), you need to know your progress is at serious risk. My long-running save file was completely destroyed after the game froze and the screen went black, leaving the save slot permanently inaccessible. I tried every trick in the book to recover it, including restoring from the cloud, rebuilding the PS5 database, and clearing the console cache, but all failed. The real kicker is that the issue isn't on my console; it’s the PlayStation Cloud, which keeps stubbornly re-syncing the corrupted file even after I manually deleted every single copy from both the console and the cloud. Since Hollow Knight is an autosave-only game, the corrupted file is effectively haunting my save slot forever, making it unusable. When I reached out to PlayStation Support for help with this serious cloud sync bug, the experience was infuriating. The agent, Richmond Q, repeatedly ignored the core technical issue, offering generic fixes I had already performed, like rebuilding the database. After I clarified that I needed an escalation path to permanently purge the file from their servers, the agent failed to grasp the problem and simply abandoned the chat, ignoring my direct request to speak to a manager. Because of this game's autosave system, PlayStation’s broken cloud synchronization, and the absolutely terrible, unhelpful support, I strongly advise all fellow players: do not play Hollow Knight on a PlayStation 5 (via the PS4 streaming version) if you value your time and progress. You are risking a permanent, progress-wiping corruption with zero way to recover.
