De Goryeo-beschaving is nu beschikbaar in Sid Meier's Civilization® VII!*
Uit de resten van de Drie Koninkrijken in Korea ontstond Goryeo, een centrum voor wetenschap en kunst, een formidabele kracht in Oost-Azië. Goryeo werd opgericht in 918 n.C. en werd een bastion van boeddhistische wetenschap en een vroege vernieuwer op het gebied van losse letters – met andere woorden, de drukpers. Daarnaast is Goryeo celadon aardewerk beroemd om verfijning en kunstenaarschap. Goryeo kende veel uitdagingen: het handhaafde vrede op het schiereiland door kracht en door strategische positionering als een vazal van de Yuan-dynastie van China. Maar bij de val van dat rijk ontstond er een nieuwe orde: Joseon.
