In de troosteloze toekomst van 2042 wankelt de aarde op de rand van ecologische ineenstorting door niet-aflatende klimaatverandering. De enige hoop is een visionair die de aarde de rug toekeerde om op Mars opnieuw te beginnen, walgend van de negativiteit van de mensheid en het financiële verraad aan zijn projecten.

'Project Neon' is jouw topgeheime missie: doorkruis de verraderlijke kosmos en haal deze kluizenaar terug uit zijn fort op Mars – zonder hem ook maar iets aan te doen – om onze stervende planeet te redden. Hij heeft Mars afgeschermd met een ondoordringbaar schild, verankerd in verdedigingswerken op vier naburige planeten.

Elke planeet wordt bewaakt door felle vijanden en ontzagwekkende eindbazen die het schild in stand houden. Jouw taak: ontmantel deze interplanetaire verdediging, planeet voor planeet, in een shoot-'em-up waarin alles op het spel staat.

Met intense 16-bit actie die teruggrijpt naar de gloriedagen van Japanse arcadeshooters belooft 'Project Neon' een zinderende uitdaging.
