One of the Best Games I've Ever Played

I feel the need to do my part to help this game's ratings because of all the one star 'too hard' review bombing going on. This game is challenging and punishing, if that's not your thing that's fine. But to trash the game because you can't meet the challenge it presents feels malicious. More malicious than anything the game has, let me tell you that. If you're like me and willing to stick with the experience because you understand there is learning curve inherent to it's design, then you will be rewarded. It is one of the best feeling game's I have ever played, in of the best worlds I have ever explored. Rich combat, exploration, traversal and platforming are the heart of the game. The more you play, the better you get. The better you get, the more you defeat, the more of Pharloom you get to see. Not to mention the easier it is for you to traverse and platform. Pretty simple. It is unbelievably polished, interesting, fun, challenging and satisfying. It truly does not get much better than this, and I've played a lot at this point. The art direction, atmosphere, music is stunning but you do need me to tell you that. I'm just so blown away that this even exists in the shape that it does. A work of art. Again, if you do not like challenging, punishing games this won't be for you. But if you are, I think you might just find one of the best games you'll ever play.

Just the best game of all times

This game is a gift that keeps on giving. I played over 200h and have done all the achievements but there are still side quests I haven't done. It is a stunning game and the story is mind-blowing. It is a difficult game and I would not recommend it for casual players.

Silksong is the next level of storytelling in game history!

Silksong has got such an amazing story that continues Hornet's journey after the original game. The characters, tone, emotional depth, musical score and fighting mechanics are just as good as the first game, but the trophies for the speed time challenge is too hard to get. But nevertheless, Silksong is the amazing chapter of the series and I can't wait for more in the future!

Tedious - Uninstalled

I was pretty early in game I think, still Act 1, but it's just not fun. Somehow the character who's purpose was to test the Knight's strength and help him take care of business in HK can't even beat a mouse shaped dust ball in less than 3 hits in this game? Make it make sense. I found myself zoning out in boss fights because they're just so long and boring. I would get so excited to explore a new area but then they would kinda end up being very generic. Here's the green zone. Here's the lava zone. Here's the rainy zone and so on. At least in HK the areas being what they were made sense and coupled with the music felt immersive. I never got that feeling once with this game. The whole thing just started to feel like a grind and I couldn't even remember what the point was. I wish I could have liked this game more. The art is beautiful. Hornet's moves are a lot of fun. I'm sure the story would get interesting eventually. It's unfortunate the devs don't believe in difficulty options for people who don't want to go through such a slog to experience a game. I'll probably skip my any future titles after this.

Greatest game I've played

Silksong is great. For me at least, I feel it wasn't too hard though the double damage can be a bit punishing. But people honestly cannot rate this game 1 star because it was "too hard" or "too punishing". Instead of that play Hollow knight first. "Oh but I already played hollow knight" Then get the true ending. 10/10 Would reccomend but definetely not for people who don't like hard games except if they're determined.

Tired

Played this game 37 hours and was stuck. This game did nothing but make me want to cry. Not wasting my time on a game that I just can’t enjoy.

Holy Moly

Can't say enough about how this game changed my life, and everything around me. Silksong is singlehandedly shaking up the gaming industry, and other publishers should take note.
