Halloween: The Game

They did great with the music and atmosphere, and the solo player feels like a Halloween game. But the point of this is Multiplayer where it all falls apart. Playing as Michael Myers SHOULD be the fun, but its quite the opposite. Survivors can near infinite sprint, vault, and are so overpowered against MIchael, every session becomes Survivors bullying Michael. Michael is SLOW, and his abilities, while fun in theory, have ZERO gameplay practicality. His Shape Shift where he goes invisible and can move fast as a ghost is fun, but you cannot exit it in the light or anywhere near Survivors. You HAVE to reappear far away from them, so you cannot use it to play tactically or aggressively. His Stalk ability charges incredibly slow, and because the Survivors move so fast, you get the smallest snippet of charge before theyre off screen. His attacks are slow and have terrible hit detection, as does his grab. Grab has minimal reach, and rarely connects. When it does, Michael cannot do anything unless youve charged your Blood Thirst, but you cant charge your Blood Thirst because you cant find anyone, and when you do, you get about a second to Stalk them. Michael SHOULD be able to grab someone and end the Survivor, or at least have a competitive mini game. In this game, Survivors have all advantages. Its like they built Michael for a slow paced game, but the Survivors for a Call of Duty game. Dead by Daylight did Michael 100000 times better. Wish I could get a refund for this awful game. DO NOT BUY!

It’s truly astounding. I actually enjoyed the game. It took a really long minute to “get” the gameplay loop but once I did I was having a blast! I struggle a lot as Michael Myers but I have the most fun playing Civilian! Also there is Sequel content (Halloween 5 and Halloween 2018)! Sure it is DLC but it’s amazing I am playing a game that includes faithful adaptions of those masks!

Needs improvement in all aspects of the game.

This game is really fun, especially if you are a fan of the Halloween franchise, although regarding gameplay, it is mediocre. Tons of bugs do need to be fixed, and the matches feel really unbalanced at times, where the civilians have a better advantage. I hope they continue to fix bugs and add more features to the game that can make it more interesting. I also wish the game provided more context on the controls, as I was a bit confused when playing. It does have potential, and I love to play at times; as a og Halloween fan, I love the representation. Since the game is still new, I feel like the issues are understandable, though I hope they do listen to feedback and fix those issues. Okay game, I'd say.

In solo play, Michael’s grab is terrible. You can be standing right next to someone and it still won’t work. Completing challenges is not always saved. Having to Ho through the tutorials over and over is ridiculous. Was really hoping for much more.

They need to fix a few things. You'll pass a chapter than it just resets without warning and you have to replay it. You'll see random people walking around with no heads lol (I think it's funny) Story mode is way too short they could have put more into it for sure only has 5 chapters. I like the game overall maybe because there is no other Halloween game out ( I'll take what I can get!)

Short solo gameplay super buggy challenges dont register. Thought would be like Friday 13th game but its no where near as fun. It's ok hoping they fix glitches but still would fall short.

DO NOT BUY THIS GAME FROM THE PS STORE!!! The game has a ton of bugs. I've seen blood coming out of characters as large pixelated blocks. I've seen a person in the game without a head, when they are alive and walking around. The worst glitch is I can't get past Chapter 1 in the story mode. After you beat the chapter, it just resets. I've done the chapter 5 times and it still goes back to the beginning. I contacted Playstation and they will not offer a refund because I've already played the game.
