Enshrouded

Waited for Enshrouded to come to the console, and I'm fun playing Enshrouded, and it is good; it reminds me of Champions of Norrath.

Enshrouded is an amazing expanse of a game! the word incredible could easily be used to describe it but it feels very personally hand crafted and thought out for the player to have fun! Great mix of exploring, combat, challenge and easy to adopt support & mechanics. Keen games really really loves this game and it's players, you can feel it immediately. Survival games can seem time consuming and intimidating at first but Enshrouded is so easy to immediately get into for anyone looking for an action rpg even, it's a cool hybrid. For perspective I've played some seriously engrossing open world games this year and this is still a stand out. Specific stand outs so far: • Survival games can sometimes feel grindy or "flat", with a moderate slow period in the beginning. Right out the gate Enshrouded throws you into some no holding back hands on combat and world building but some breathing room allowed too. You can move around the challenges but they're fun! • With a little exploring in 2-3hrs I basically became 5-6 different type of character classes with an array of solid weapons. Each weapon almost makes you a different class instantly. Switching from a giant broad sword Berserker style to a wand to dual daggers on the fly is super fun! I barely scratched the skill tree surface so far which seems like it adds WAY more too. Tip: explore, you'll find the good stuff. • No spoilers but "the shroud" fog sounds simple enough but it feels unique and feels dangerous. The concept honestly feels more genius the more you play in the fog, and it's definitely because they worked on it for years. It looks beautiful too. • I've built very little relative to a lot I've seen BUT it's INSANE. • I bought the deluxe edition so I really like the unique cosmetics I got. I honestly think for me the look is important of the character I'm playing and it was 100% worth the purchase, you can mix and match items. There's PLENTY of gear to craft/find but it's made my experience even better right away. Overall easy purchase, get the game, the world alone is worth the purchase. Easily feels like you'll get 100s to 1000s of hours out of it, I get why so many have now. And the dev updates to this game are amazing, seems like they plan to continue.
