Story too complicated and too many cutscenes

I didn't hate the concept, but even just watching the cutscenes on YouTube, we're talking about 11 and a half hours, and even that alone I found quite tedious overall. There was a lot of dialogue that could have been cut; I would have edited the game down to keep only the best elements, let's say 15%, and even that would have been better, I think. If I compare it to other games "of the same genre" that I've played recently and found relatively bad, I'd say the story is worse than in Alan Wake 2, although it's approaching the same level of unnecessary/exaggerated complexity.
