Easily the worst Borderlands game

I'll start by saying I have played every single Borderlands game from start to finish a minimum of two times. This includes the Tales games. I also loved the movie. The better games I have played a half dozen times. I am a true fan, to the extent I have a tattoo of Tiny Tina and Claptrap that takes up a big portion of my arm. I preface with that because this isn't just another bad review. This game is truly awful. They took away everything that made this series what it was. The humor is gone, the engaging gameplay is gone, the beautiful art is gone. I get angry every time I play it. This is the worst AAA game I have played in years. I bought it on PC first, but the graphics are so unnecessarily taxing that my PC, which easily runs every single other game I have ever installed on it, is unable to play it. Since I love the series so much I decided I will buy it again on PS5 when it went on sale. I regret that decision so much. Borderlands was up there with my favorite game series of all time. After this I doubt I will never play another one. I have defended these games every time someone complains about them since the Pre-Sequel came out and fans started turning away. I defended the movie when everyone panned it. Gearbox has lost its way and lost me as a fan.

Entertaining but confusing

I love BL and will always love BL. But this version doesn't have the same storyline flow that others before it have. I fell like I spend most of my time traveling from one place to another and less time playing the game. There's so much going on and none really seem connected to the next. It's entertaining and fun to play the missions and side missions but I fell there's no story throughout.

Fun game

I was a bit hesitant to buy the game due to negative reviews, but I have been having a lot of fun with it these past few months. Local single player runs great on my original ps5. Devs continue to roll out quality of life improvements and seem to take player suggestions and complaints seriously. I would like to see the legendary drop rate increased slightly, but that’s not negatively impacting my enjoyment of the game.

Disappointing

Not worth the money. Seasonal content is actual garbage compared to every other game in the series. Characters are badly designed rehashes of older, better vault hunters. Nothing about this game stands out or excites like previous titles did.

Premium Game For Premium Gamers

Randy Pitchford, this is not a premium game made for premium gamers. The game just doesn't fundamentally work. On resume from sleep the game crashes. Enemies load beneath the floor so I can't complete objectives, treasure chests fail to spawn after completing a mission forcing a restart, guidepath just straight up gets it wrong, multiple quest givers talking at the same time. Its a mess. Randy, if you're gonna whine and complain about this being a "premium game", you're going to have to put in the work and you know, make a premium game. Get lost Randy.

Awful

Worst installment in the series by far and that's saying something after Tiny Tina's. Ruined the map and minimap system, the world is boring and hard to find anything so you just go straight to the missions ignoring everything. It's like they made every part of the game worse and harder to use. Last purchase of this series I ever buy.

Value For Money. Thank you Randy! 💯

Legendary. Era of moaners, era of pay to play (COD all in is 2k to 3k.) Value for money Randy, thank you to you and your team. Done listening to spoiled moaners. Get This, you'll Love It.

Return to Form

A huge step up and return to form for the franchise Pros -The different vault hunters are interesting and well made -The story is decent but leaves some unanswered questions -The humor is toned down. Way less claptrap thank god, and they focus more on BL2 style humor of just people being funny because they are insane. It doesn't feel forced. -The villains not being silly adds freshness -Some of the side missions are genuinely hilarious Cons -Way too many glitches and crashes, even on console. Inexcusable -The new characters are interesting but honestly don't stick out as memorable in any way. -The reason some old characters are around and some aren't isn't explained very well and feels random -The missions get pretty repetitive and follow similar progression. Go do something, oh the easy way is broken do 3 things to fix it, fight, end. Overall thoroughly enjoyed it, just wish games would actually release finished AND optimized for once. That being said, I'm glad BL is back on the right path.

Love this game, Gearbox only have some performance issues.

This game is very fun, love what Gearbox, did with the character building and world building in part 4, this is a game that's totally different from borderlands 2 so if you were hoping for that sorry. Totally worth the money however, if your a borderlands enthusiast please give the "4" a try. BTW I played this game since launch date, only crashed eleven times since then. But those crashes only happened when I was already maxed.

best in seris (IMO)

The game is amazing, there is a ton of stuff to do, I do hate at the moment the mad and SDU are not account wide, As of this review they stated they are working on it.
