BO7 Cross-Gen
Broken game

I pre-ordered bo7 - The last bo6 update automatically pre-downloaded bo7's content. When BO7 was released, the game was NOT fit for purpose/release. I had no working game audio whatsoever. Playstation support did not issue me a refund. (Did not contact me back, currently 4 months outstanding) Nor did activision fix the issue. Since I paid £70 for a broken game. I had to take matters into my own hands. (A real breach of my consumer rights btw) They advertised "open" lobbies with skill being minimally considered. Connection was stated as a priority. However, the servers are worse than mw3 and bo6 combined. Constant hit reg issues. packet burst. desync. Desync in this game is so bad that your player literally rewinds itself mid gun-fight. Activision support says it's not something they can fix. Do what you can with that information. The bugs that were present in BO6 are present in BO7. It's like the developers only focused on maps and copy and pasted bo6's code into BO7. It's season 2, majority of bugs are still present. The patches state they've fixed perk audio bugs such as ninja. Not the case at all. Top tier gaslighting. This game should not be sold until it's utilised for Playstation consoles. Ranked play. As always ranked play was delayed until season 2. Despite the delay, they still released ranked play with bugs that were present in BO6. The co-op campaign. tried it once. literally lost connection to the server and had to start it again. The story is terrible so i will not even bother with that. It's like a 6 year old was told to do a creative writing project for a pack of haribos. More focused on the reward than the content. Zombies. I am lagging in zombies. constant frame drops. the game is just a jittery mess. Constantly losing connection. Despite the lag. the only positive from the game. it's proper grindy. that's all.

BO7 Cross-Gen
Just awful.

If Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 were a person, it would be the guy at a party who keeps shouting old catchphrases from 2010 and wondering why no one's laughing. This game isn't just a step backwards-it's a face-first swan dive into a concrete pit of recycled ideas, broken mechanics, and storytelling so insultingly thin it makes the plot of a vending machine instruction manual look like Shakespeare. The campaign is a confused, jittering mess: half-hour missions stitched together with the narrative coherence of a toddler's scrapbook. Explosions? Yes. Meaning? No. Characters drift in and out with all the emotional impact of spam emails. The big dramatic twists land with the force of a damp paper towel. And the pacing... if you can call it pacing... feels like it was assembled by someone who has only ever experienced human storytelling through TikTok loops. The multiplayer, usually the franchise's saving grace, is an unbalanced circus of half-hearted map design, botched weapon tuning, and enough bugs to qualify as a biological hazard. Every match feels like the game is daring you to turn it off. Spawns are a joke, hit detection is a myth, and the new "innovation" features are about as innovative as reheating last night's chips and calling it cuisine. Zombies mode? More like a moaning, shambling corpse that truly reflects the series' creative direction. Over-complicated, under-tested, and somehow manages to feel both frantic and tedious at the same time. Quite an achievement, really. The one bright spot-and it's a faint, flickering bulb-is hearing Michael Brooker. He delivers his lines with genuine conviction, because he's a real actor who actually cares about his craft. And it's honestly tragic to watch his talent poured into a game that treats story and character like optional DLC. Hearing him was nice; wasting him was criminal.

No Single Player Campaign

I found the game very good, no checkpoints though, if you leave the upto 4 player campaign you have to start again. But when you're killed the progress of what you have done on the previous run, is saved eg all the destruction. I always play single player campaign on all games to get to know the game. But with this game it's spoiled because the single co op campaign needs more than 1 player. Trying to play it on your own I found some parts not possible to do, it takes more players. Useless really if no one joins the game with you.

Awful game play

Don’t bother. Cold War is the best COD to buy. How can you go from getting on average 20 kills in Cw to less than 5. The respawn is terrible, and the game play is all over the place. And I can’t get a refund

BO7 Cross-Gen
Very disappointing

I only play solo campaign and the BO7 version solo is so, so poor. You can’t even save checkpoints - it’s like going back 30 years to pre NES era.

Very Disappointing

If I could I would have gotten a refund, I buy COD for both the multiplayer and the campaign, this year the multiplayer is just so-so, nothing new or imaginative, and the campaign is terrible; silly story rehashing older entries, always online, no checkpoints or pause option four player co-op that punishes single player, no fun at all. I got swept up by the shiny trailer and now feel cheated. Don't be putting out lazy entries like this; take a year extra and bring us something good for the money. I won't be pre-ordering a COD again, trust is easily lost.
