I have played this game every day for the last 5 years and I both love and hate it and dread to think how much real money I have spent on digital costumes. Also I am still terrible at it. 5 stars.

Too Old

This game is great! I sometimes play with my daughter and I have a nice bunch of people that I play with from all over the world. The only negative is that it is highly addictive! Epic do a good job of keeping it fresh so that you want to keep playing.

Arguably the perfect game

You’ll see bad reviews and complaints about microtransactions and screaming kids, but these silly people just want to hate on what is really an excellent game. You don’t have to engage in microtransactions and can still have an amazing time and acquire incredibly license d and non licensed skins. Gameplay has continuously improved year over year, graphics are beautiful, destruction and effects top level stuff. Both community and official games modes in the 100’s with option for literally everyone. Fortnite is the perfect game.

take it or leave it

It is nothing special, full of micro-transactions, and screaming kids that don't like being killed in a game based on killing your opponents. I must admit that aspect of the game has put me off playing it PVP. The campaign mode is fun, but trying to find a decent squad to do it with is hard.

Fortnite: Funite

This is an awesome and fun to play with so many different games to play within, also able to play online with others or just with ur friends, the fact u can swith between public and private is good. The different skins, weapons and items u can collect are fantastic too. Would recommend Fortnite to everyone.

Descendant into crap

I played this game when season 3 was first released and fortnite was at its peak, great guns, great vibes, great map, just great everything. I quit when chapter three dropped because the game turned into a place where the sweats could touch tips all day every day. I returned when season OG released and i spurt out my next line of my family lineage, I then quit after the monstrosity of chapter 5 came out. I come back to the present day of fortnite and I see the absolute disaster fortnite has transformed into. Memories to live by now turned into nightmares I wouldn’t even give Adolf Hitler to. This game raised a generation but it’s now obliterating generations. I hope fortnite can soon see the mistakes they have created and can revive this game before it’s too late and descends into a chaos unchangeable.

Fortnite: Refreshed, Boosted & Anthemed

I was late to the game that is known as Fortnite, although I have to add a disclaimer that it was a major contributing factor in my purchasing a PS5. I have played Fortnite on a Nintendo Switch, an old Laptop, and an Android Smartphone (linked to an Xbox controller and big Screen). On all those systems, as well as the PS5 I play on now the game was the same. (I grew up in an era where you were fortunate if a port of a game on another system was as great as the Original). The Biggest new thing this season has perhaps been the addition of Cars usable not only in Fortnite, though also the accompanying Rocket Racing game. Not only that their is also a Festival Game where you can select a microphone, guitar, base or drums and attempt to play any number of popular songs from a broad selection of Artists. playing any of these games can contribute to gaining levels and working your way through a battle pass (at least for those of us who subscribe). Their is also a Fortnite Lego game within the mix, alhough I have to admit to not having tried that one. Over all, I did believe myself to have overindulged the game early on, so have had some mini-breaks, although when I go back & its a new map and characters I can often find myself throwing myself into the new challenges, quests and missions all over again, and with the added dimension of rocket racing and Music festivals it has been really great value for money as a subscriber in recent weeks & months. Yes their is a repetitive side to the game, though I recall having the realisation during Season 4 that it seemed a very differing game to the one I had begun with at the end of season 3. Season 5 is now approaching its final chapter, and whilst I would not want cars to over dominate the play going forward, they have been a really fun addition this season. I look forward with anticipation to what ever comes next. Those who have been disappointed with the direction since those early years Seasons & Chapters, might be pleased to know their is actually another recent addition called Fortnite Reloaded, available, and that is perhaps because it is a game much in the style & fashion of the early year versions of the game, stripped of many bells & whistles, though immediately accessible to those that reminisce about the good 'ol days etc. Overall Fortnite has a what is not to like aspect, in that the current subscription ticks so many boxes for fans of differing games, at a highly reasonable price point for keeping anyone busy with their gaming through out the summer.
