Boring Game, False Advertising

I never review games, this is the first time. This game was so terrible and the almost 5 star reviews are so misleading towards this game, that I had to leave a review. I either like a game or I don't, I never leave reviews because everyone is entitled to their opinion. I tried the first game, didn't like it, that was that. After this one came out, there was a flood of 5 star rating, top reviews, countless videos advocating for this game. Still didn't want to try it. I asked around the community and everyone was saying to try it out, it is fantastic. Still didn't try it. More top reviews, more advocating for this game, finally decided to buy it, and I am about 5 hours in...didn't want to quit in the first hour, God knows I wanted to. So here is the problem with this game, the story is fantastic, if they don't make a few movies out of this, they are losing money...but that's all this is, a movie. This is not a video game. There is no action...sure, you shoot a couple of bandits here and there, but this is a game where all you do is you prepare for a long journey, and you haul stuff on your back. Games who enjoy this are not real gamers, they are just following a game designer who they worship, who has no clue how to make an actual video game. The cut scenes are great, immersive, makes me almost disappointed in myself that I couldn't continue playing this game, but for a real video game, the whole journey in this one would just be the cut scenes in a regular game. Why would I want to play something like this, I have real life to plan and worry about hauling stuff from point A to point B, in a video game I want to do something entertaining, to step away from real life for a bit. This has been a complete headache, and the reason I decided to put this review was because all the misleading reviews about this. It's a complete waste of time, this has no business being a video game. Again, make a movie, a show of this, you have my money right away. But as a video game, this is terrible, no excitement, no action, your xp in part is based on likes from other players. Truly disappointed and I really wanted to like this game, I pushed myself to, and no go. For any real gamers out there, definitely stay away from this.

Instead of Walking, We're Driving

This deserves a place in any PlayStation owner's library. It's a five-star experience, top to bottom, in terms of quality. This corrects many issues of the (still terrific) original, while enriching the world with characters full of flavor. A unique blend of drama, comedy, and genuinely touching moments that will stick with you. I rolled credits in about 65 hours, and walked away thoroughly satisfied.

Absolute perfection

Takes everything that made the first game so special and unique and cranks it up a notch. This is how you do a sequel without losing what made the original memorable. 10/10 would buy again on PC.

A Hypnotic Experience

Between the lore, haunting scenery, and beautiful gameplay, this game is a unique and magical experience. I loved every minute of it. Thank you, Hideo Kojima.

Worth your time!

As someone who’s into Death Stranding 2, I found it to be an absolutely hypnotic experience — the world feels alive and weird in all the right ways. The sense of connection through rebuilding terrain and helping other players’ networks is deeply satisfying. Sure, the narrative can get tangled and some plot threads feel rushed, but the bold ambition and emotional beats make it worth the ride. Every time I’m out delivering cargo I’m reminded why I fell in love with this franchise.
