The most exciting experience I’ve had in years!

At 30 hours in, I’m at 75% completion, and it’s quite impressive that over the course of my experience, I’ve seen or done something entirely new and creative every 5 minutes or so. The game constantly feels fresh and engaging in a way I haven’t seen in ages. Whether that be a new location or piece of absurd art direction, or a left field gameplay segment. It’s impressive to say the least, and even if the gameplay loop weren’t fun (which it very much so is) it would be a consistently engaging experience on art direction alone. I think my only complaints stem from the boss battles not being engaging enough, and a fundamental lack of environmental responsiveness. For instance, shooting a red barrel or gas tank does nothing, and there’s a severe lack of physics or destruction. This isn’t a major issue, but I feel the game would benefit greatly from that addition.
