Charming but with some flaws.

Well, it's a charming game at first but after a while you start to notice the patterns and it gets a bit boring. The map is divided into a few locations and you have to go through the dark tunnels to get there - this is quite annoying when running from one place to another - I guess it's a hidden loading screen for mobile platforms... I thought there would be more to the story because there are some mentioned characters that never really appear in the game and some locations that hint like something more could happen there. So it feels like a bit like "part 1" of the game or maybe they planned for a sequel if the game sells well. But it's not too short and it has a satisfying ending. The mini games are hit and miss, some like fishing are ok but others feel junky. When I had to catch 50 or more bugs on the rice field with a net I was like really? I mean 10 or 15 bugs would be fine but more than that was too much as it was not easy. I also didn't know what to do in the boss encounter so I had to check youtube because it was not intuitive at all. The collectibles are fun (darumas) and the voice acting is good. But there are still some bugs here and there and you have to reload a checkpoint from time to time. So yeah, I thought I would enjoy it more because I like anime and Japan but after a while I started to fast forward most of the dialogue just to get to the finish line. It's not bad if you want a chill experience but for me it got old after a couple of hours.
