Everything you loved from years ago, but with pretty graphics, a few additional game mechanics to choose your own progression difficulty, and (my personal favorite) wheel support! Honestly couldn't have asked for a better return to this series. Thank you Genki!!!

Street racing the Shuto Expressway in Tokyo, battling rivals with fighting game health bars, and RPG like progression. What would be a 7/10 rating in PS2 era is a breath of fresh air today. If racing games feel oversaturated with festival style progression and infinite tasks, Tokyo Xtreme Racer is here to take you back to a much simpler time. This series always has it's quirks, but the simple race battle mechanic, customizing cars, the soundtrack, it all keeps me coming back. I like that we're already seeing free add ons and updates that provide new content like rival cars and songs for the soundtrack. I hope that indicates Genki will continue to support the game.
