When the PlayStation 1 was released, this was one of the games that you would see on tv being advertised all the time. The commercial made the game seem like it was super fast and super cool. You wanted to buy as PlayStation just to play this game. I had already purchased a PS1 so all I needed was wipeout in my life. Let me tell you, when I first played it, it was an instant love affair. This game had so much good in it that blew me away. The hovercrafts, the physics, the tracks and the music! The music in this game is perfect for the genre. Every series has had a banger soundtrack. I love wipeout. It's such a good racing game and is truly underrated and never really got the attention it deserves. When I first played wipeout I was about 20 years old. I am now 50 and I still play wipeout because it's simply a really fun racing game that no other racing game has been able to duplicate what wipeout does. I've owned the game in every system, although I don't think there was a PS2 version as far as I know. The PS3 version I received for free simply for logging on one day. It was a cool thing that happened when the PS3 was a new system. This version of Wipeout for the PS3 was called Wipeout HD and it runs as 60 FPS smooth as butter on a PS3. It contains tracks from previous games including some tracks I believe from the PSP version of the game called Wipeout Pure. I'm not sure what other version they included tracks from but it's a good collection. This version of wipeout still holds up to this day. That version of the PS3 was then transferred over to the PS4 along with additional tracks from wipeout ps vita version. That is what makes this version the Omega collection. It's basically the best of the best. This version was also released alongside the PS4 Pro, which I have and I run this version of wipeout on. It's so f'ing good. GET THIS GAME seriously man. What are you doing reading this review? Go play the game! It's so good! It's worth the regular price but do look out for a sale.

Wipe out is by Far One of the greatest racing games on any system EVER. This edition includes A LOT of tracks from several games; all meshed together in a nicely packaged gem. I was trying to rate the actual game but the system only let me rate the demo. It doesn't matter though, BUY wipeout. It's awesome.

WipEout Omega Collection brings together all the content from WipEout HD, WipEout HD Fury and WipEout 2048, enhanced for PS4 and PS4 Pro.
We have been able to take advantage of the power and memory bandwidth of PS4 to rework all textures in the game. Compared to the original games, textures are now clear when viewed up close: you can even read some of the small text on the ships for the first time. As well as a host of improved graphical effects we have also added in HDR which massively improves contrast to what was seen before.
