Nationally operated by ÖBB, or Austrian Federal Railways, passengers rank the service among some of the best within the EU.
Lakeshore and mountainous views abound as you uphold ÖBB’s service on their densely packed Vorarlberg S-Bahn. Operated by the ÖBB 4024 Talent EMU, the S1 line starts off on the island of Lindau, Germany, before promptly making its way back onto the mainland, and over the border into Austria’s westernmost state.
