1950年代に入り、Deutsche Bundesbahnは小型の入換機関車不足に悩まされていました。そこでまとまった数の機関車を製造する計画が立ち上げられたのです。

このDB V 60と呼ばれる新しい機関車は、すぐに12両単位で製造され、1964年の生産終了までに計942両が配備されました。軽量バージョン (BR 260) と重量バージョン (BR 261) が生産されています。1980年と1990年に様々な調整が加えられ、今日では多数の機関車がBR 362およびBR 363として知られています。

真のベテラン機関車として、DB BR 363は数十年に渡り入換え作業と軽貨物輸送を担ってきました。Train Sim World 2で、あなたもドイツ最古の鉄道の一つを体験できます！
