Sand PatchがCSX車両で運行する何トンもの輸送は、重量があり、運行頻度も高く、多様です。AC4400CWなどの大型車両が輸送するのは、石炭、穀物、油、自動車、インターモーダル輸送（複数の輸送手段を組み合わせた輸送）など多岐にわたります。年長車両のSD40-2は、登山運行のパワーを発揮し、近代車両をサポートします。一方、クラシックなGP38-2は、Cumberland操車場で、車両の組成・入換や今後の輸送のための列車の準備に、忙しく働いています。

Sand Patch Gradeで、初期のCSXの青とグレーが鮮やかに配色された、由緒あるSD40を走らせれば、力強いディーゼルのけん引力と品のある風貌がよみがえります。CSX Transportation（CSXトランスポーテーショーン社）は1986年に設立され、間もなくしてツートーンのカラーリングを誇示する巨大貨物車を導入しました。米国の鉄道史に残る由緒ある鉄道路線で、重量のある貨物輸送や切り替え操作を担いましょう。
