86形は、1960年代半ばに新たに電化されたウエストコースト本線で運行を開始しました。新しい87形と違って86形は馬力が低いため、最高速度は時速100マイルとなっています。87形とのその他の違いとしては、メッキ仕上げのオーバーヘッドコードボックス、特徴的なトリプルウインドスクリーンなどが挙げられます。

トレインシムワールドでは、86/2形はウエスト・コースト本線に豊富な追加バリエーションを提供します：プレストン - カーライル86形と新型のMk2F客車が長距離運行便に代わる一方、新型のMk1 RMBはイギリス国鉄のビュッフェのニーズに応えます。サンドイッチはいかがですか？
