1867年に開通したCornish Main Lineは、コーンウォールと他の地域を結ぶ風景の中を通り抜けるように走っています。Brunelはこの路線を独自の7フィートの「広軌」で建設しましたが、1892年に標準軌に変更されました。本線が通っていない地域には、St Ives Bay Lineのような支線が繋がっており、地域のコミュニティに役立っています。
