様々な特別任務を遂行するため、ペニンシュラコリダーは、かつてサザン・パシフィック鉄道で運用されていた、MP15DC機関車が追加配備されています。
多用途のMP15DCは、伝統的な運転室を前位片側に寄せた「エンドキャブ式」の入換用ディーゼル機関車ですが、主要路線で使用できるように運搬車が付いています。エレクトロ・モーティブ・ディーゼル（EMD）が、1974年から1980年の間製造したMP15DCは4軸（B-B）、1,500馬力の機関車で、12気筒645系エンジンを動力とし、直流発電機を使用しています。合計で351台のMP15が製造されました。
車両入換や列車の編成作業から、本線での重量作業列車の取り扱い、故障した通勤列車の救助まで、さまざまな本格的な任務でMP15DCの性能を試しましょう。
