Hi! I'm Isaac, the Lead Combat Designer of Towerborne. I just wanted to thank everyone for all their kind words. It's awesome to see that the combat has resonated so well with many of you. Unfortunately, I no longer work on the game after being laid off, but I still check out the reviews every now and then. There's a lot more I wish I had the opportunity to do but sometimes there are forces that prevent that from happening. Despite that, it's awesome that people were able to believe in the vision of the combat system and have engaged with it in such a positive way. Many thanks to my super talented combat team for helping me accomplish the impossible. Despite my time on the project being over, I encourage everyone to still check this game out. The combat system is fluid and tries to bring a bit of a modern flair to the side-scrolling genre. There's a lot of really cool stuff that you can do in this game and it's really worth trying. The class progression system is something that my team worked really hard on. Within a very tight schedule, we were able to create over 100 new abilities that amplify combat in super interesting ways. The new Bounty Board adds universal skills and new class skills for even more fun. The Bounty Board also houses a ton of challenges that really test your skills, which also includes new variations of the popular live event modes that I led the charge on (Time Trials, Boss Rush, etc). There was a lot of time and dedication put into this game. On the combat side, I can tell you that the team tried to always go above and beyond. Even with tough times that would normally hold us back, we were able to over deliver to provide an experience that fans of the genre will enjoy.
