Lagging

Constantly bringing over $100,000 worth of loot just to lose it to lagging out reconnecting dying into a fireball which doesn’t make sense if we lag out of the game our players should be like indestructible almost like a barrier should be put around them for lagging out we shouldn’t be able to take damage because we’re lagging out of the game because the game can’t handle it

PVP is wrecking this game for a lot of people

I really love this game and the PVE community. The PVP community kills it for me though. So toxic. I don't want to fight other players. I don't want to play a whole game only to have some person shoot me in the back when I'm searching a drawer. I want to get in a PVE lobby with other players, have the ability to squad up, and do quests and share items and information. Fight arcs together. This game really needs a PVE only mode with 20 player lobbies. Some trader stations for POI's would be great too. A place where raiders can meet up and swap blueprints, guns, or other in game items. I don't understand why embark refuses to do a PVE mode. It's so annoying. And the agressive based match making doesn't work. It doesn't work at all. Doesn't matter if you never shoot anyone. Someone will shoot you and kill you. It's a little better in solo, but in duos and trios you get shot constantly, even if you don't shoot back. So that means I can't get online with my friends or family if I want to play because we'll just die constantly. Embark, do a PVE mode! I only have so many more times of dying to some toxic PVP player and losing all my stuff before I retire this game. And now, the game crashes constantly since the last update. Good job embark. Keep up the good work

Save your Money

Echoing the other reviews, I played for about 2 hours and deleted the game. PvP ruins the potential this game had.

people saying they’re friendly and then shoot you in the back and people on your own team blocking doorways so they can steal your hard earned loot

PvE is fun until the PvP begins

I really want to enjoy ARC Raiders, but it often feels more like a chore than fun. I mainly play because my friends do. My group is very PvE-focused, and the most enjoyable moments come from the friendly, community-type lobbies that make the game feel like it could be something special. Unfortunately that usually ends when you lose your gear to PvP. The developers say PvP adds tension, but for me it just adds stress. Instead of progressing, I spend most of my time grinding materials to rebuild gear I lose to other players. With the recent drop-rate changes, that grind has only gotten worse. There’s a great idea here, but the heavy PvP focus and constant gear loss make it hard for PvE players like me to enjoy.

Worst purchase, ever

I bought this because I saw other people liked it. But... in solo, just spending all the time looting, then getting killed and losing it all does not make for a fun or compelling game. It's just boring. I wished I could return it after the first 30 minutes of play.

Not fun anymore

Can’t enjoy the game anymore. There’s always campers/rats or people saying they’re friendly and then shooting you in the back. Can’t focus on quest trials without someone interfering really annoying

Overly punishing for such an awful community

Great atmosphere and graphics. Absolutely awful community and controls. You will only be shot in the back, and lose everything. Constantly get hung up on weirdly placed collision boxes, making many getaways impossible. I can't count the amount of times my character refused to run, or dive in the correct direction, directly resulting in my death. Balancing of risk/reward is heavily one sided to the negatives. The game is at it's best when played cooperatively, which is a rarity, often ruined by rats who shoot you in the back. There are absolutely zero consequences for being a rat, I would love to see a bounty system, or a way of tracking those who betray you (which is a daily occurrence). I have run into some great people who will help you, and when that happens I find myself having a lot of fun, unfortunately that happens every 1 out of 10 rounds, if I'm lucky. There are some decent bones here, but the over all experience is just disappointing and often frustrating. Not worth the grind or $40.

SCAVENGE, SURVIVE, THRIVE

In ARC Raiders, gameplay flows between the surface ruled by lethal machines, and the vibrant underground society of Speranza. Craft, repair, and upgrade your gear in the safety of your own workshop, before venturing topside to scavenge the remnants of a devastated but beautiful world. Play solo or in parties up to three, navigating the constant threat of ARC's machines and the unpredictable choices of fellow survivors. In the end, only you decide what kind of Raider you are - and how far you’ll go to prevail.

EXPLORE AN IMMERSIVE WORLD

Explore four distinct maps at launch, with more to be revealed as the underground society evolves and expands its reach. Each destination carries the weight of a world twice-destroyed, and the scars of conflicts both old and new. Sift through the remnants for valuable loot, and piece together the past as it's slowly reclaimed by nature. Evolving map conditions ensure that no two runs are the same, with varying weather, enemies, and mechanics adding unpredictability and danger.

STAKE YOUR CLAIM

In a society built on boldness and bravado, it is up to you to stake your claim as a Raider. The loot you scavenge can be sold for coin or crafted into all-new gear, allowing you take on increasingly lethal dangers head-on. Through both victories and hardships, you'll gain valuable experience; unlocking varied skills that enable all-new ways of play. In addition, you'll complete quests for Traders with differing motives and agendas; uncovering both the friction and comradery of a community under constant threat of collapse.

BEWARE THE MACHINES

Lethal machines known as ARC rule the surface, ranging from unrelenting drone swarms to mechanical giants that obliterate everything in their path. Their origins remain a mystery, but their ever-present danger is felt with every step you take. Each machine comes with distinct strengths and tactics, forcing you to pinpoint their weak spots and constantly think on your feet. And remember: the noise of battle carries.

FORGE YOUR OWN PATH

Raiders survive by kitbashing scavenged materials; using long-lost tech and looted ARC parts to craft weapons, gadgets, and gear. Upgrade your workshop stations and learn blueprints to craft even more advanced items, or improvise quick fixes in the field to get yourself out of a bind. As you make a name for yourself, you'll be able to measure your skill against other Raiders by taking on Trials; rising through the leaderboards to earn valuable rewards.

QUESTS

In Speranza, everyone has an agenda, and the Traders are no different. They’ll send you topside on missions in exchange for rewards, slowly revealing more about who they are and what they want for Speranza’s future. Complete quests to earn gear, crafting materials, and XP to level up your Raider and unlock new skill points.

SKILL TREE

The ARC Raiders skill tree branches into three paths: Survival, Mobility, and Conditioning. Spend your points to shape your playstyle. Loot faster and move quieter with Survival skills. Outmaneuver your opponents and threats with Mobility. And enhance your Strength and Stamina with Conditioning. Choose how you grow and what your Raider brings to the battle.

BUILD YOUR ARSENAL

Whether you’re preparing to take down specific ARC enemies or fend off rival Raiders, there's a choice of weaponry for every fight. Cater to your style with a range of firearms including SMGs, rifles and shotguns, as well as more advanced options such as railguns and energy weapons. Grenades, traps, ziplines and deployables offer the tactical depth needed to outsmart your enemies, while augments allow you to tailor your loadout to your preferred playstyle; unlocking additional gameplay perks.
