This game is in one word amazing, it is not some controlled environment that gets stale after a few playthroughs it is a dynamic experience. The robot Ai is the biggest problem for all players but the human aspect like in real life also poses a threat, as freedom of choice means every encounter could be your end. You can't control your experience in life and that is depicted in the game its the wild wild west, most people in the community are chill, but due to everyone being a possible threat if you don't announce yourself expect to be treated as a hostile. This is an incredibly polished game with amazing sound and dynamic weather, with thousands of ways to complete your task which includes using the computer ai as weapons, or extracting without firing a shot. This game shines from all its parts and creates a new experience with each playthrough. Should be GOTY.

I play solo and there is very little PVP, which I prefer.. Solo players will help you out, drop you loot and generally do not shoot on sight.. The maps are fun the looting is fine but they need to tone the robots down a bit for solo players. Overall I'd give this game an 8.5/10...

Don't believe the very few negative reviews, they are shills for EA and others. This game has epic audio, immersive maps and highly addictive gameplay. Looting, PVE and PVP, progression, it has it all. The timer on maps is exhilarating, annoying and necessary. Lots of emotions going on in this game, just how a great game should be. Once again the dynamic weather on maps and audio is second to none. Very well done Embark, I'm a fan!!! Don't shoot!!!

After 2 years back in gaming, playing mostly single player games with some level or combat and shooting, I was wondering if I was actually any good at gaming/combat/maneuvering, since there is very little competitive element to single player games, and very little variability in difficulty as you are playing a pre-scripted storyline. ArcRaiders is my first online multiplayer, first of any game I’ve bought at launch at full price, and I feel like I already got my money’s worth. ArcRaiders is competitive, but it’s not about killing everything in sight, it’s more strategic. It’s been gratifying to feel my skill level being put to the test as I progress in the game. Each round is completely new and unexpected, even though I’ve been using the same map for dozens of rounds so far. There is no radar telling you what’s nearby, no unrealistic enemy alerts, the game really forces you to use your senses. headphones are essential, as the environmental sounds alert you to which direction, how near or far a threat or other player is, and which Arc is nearby based on the specific sounds you hear. It’s truly an immersive game. Proximity chat is also incentivized in solo play as you often need the help of others to survive an unexpected Arc attack, especially at an extraction point. As a casual gamer, it’s an easy game to dip in and dip out of, and all your gear is ready waiting for you when you dip back. I’m excited to see how the developers expand the game in the coming years.

Wish I would have read the other negative reviews before downloading. They are right. Garbage. Waste of money.

Unfortunately, the PvP Tarkov Bros that don't care about game lore, setting or context and can grind for 20 hours a day to level up just to kill you and take the loot you scrounged while dodging the AI enemies (which can be OP especially in the beginning) and stealthily going from building to building for 20+ minutes, but are forced to choke point extraction points where the griefers and campers await you. Its not even a skill issue, there are people trying to actually play the game, and there are people who want to do nothing but take out other players. For the first few days, it was a GREAT game, people teaming up, working together to take out powerful enemies, reviving other players and playing in a team based atmosphere. That went out the window within a week and the game and community is now completely toxic. It's just another PVP, Kill on site shooter (among 1000 others) that is brutally titled against people that were looking for a "Fun" game. People calling this an "Accessible Extraction Shooter" and "Casual Friendly" probably think "casual means you only play 40 hours a week. LOL. If you want a sci-fi PVP game, here it is. If you were looking for a FUN game where you explore an amazing environment with excellent mechanics, tough AI enemies, amazing sound, character/equipment progression... well, that was cut out from the game when they added PvP halfway through the development. Uninstalled. Glad it was only $40

I am not an extraction shooter type of person, but Arc Raiders just feels different. I dont feel like I cant compete with other players, and I dont feel forced to even interact with other players, but I do enjoy (especially solos) the players I've run into have all been just another person like me, just trying to complete their quests. I do wish duos was a separate match make than trios, but other than that, i am having an absolute blast

Tons of griefing and extract camping, it's just lame to play for 25 mins and get killed by an extract camper every single round. Don't waste your time.

best gameplay for your price. Battlefield has small issues I dont like.. We dont talk about call of duty anymore... BUT this, this is it. This is peak gameplay and fun with skill and imersion. Must buy!
