Good Concept, Poor Execution

The concept of hunting large monsters is unique. The game is fun for a while, but it suffers from outdated design and unresponsive combat. The game intentionally discourages button mashing, but the controls don't always respond, even when you are standing still, leading you to... you guessed it, spam buttons. There isn't much end-game content except to grind through multiple layers of RNG in the futile attempt to roll the "perfect" weapon. I find this type of design to be lazy. The biggest flaw is the poor visibility, from blinding explosions to blocked views. I've had my own mount (Seikret) stand in front of me while I'm aiming a shot. It's so bad it seems intentional. And I can't dodge what I can't see, assuming the super-slow hunters will even react to your inputs. The high-level hunts (pre-Ascendence) are DPS checks, which have been relied on too heavily and get boring fast. The game does have improvements over World. It just needs to clean up the controls and visibility and add some quality-of-life improvements. It seems to rely a lot on nostalgia, but I am not a long-time fan, so it is lost on me. For new players, I would suggest the demo because the game can be very frustrating due to the clunky design. If you enjoy it, buy it on sale. Most people seem to lose interest.

Best my game ever

I played and beat the entire franchise with the great sword. Yes I’m that legendary good! I play this on my ps portal and enjoy smashing monsters faces with my weapon it plays fine with very little lag.

Waste of money. CRAP RETURN POLICY.

Please don't purchase this game. It's very confusing and buggy. As a Dauntless fan, I thought I was getting into something and it's not. In fact, stop doing business with a company like Playstation all together. As long as they have that absurd cancellation policy, I will NEVER purchase and download another game. REPORTING THEM TO BBB RIGHT NOW.

BEST BASE GAME MONSTER HUNTER GAME EVER!!

For 1 year this game has always been my game of the year 2025. This has been the best Monster Hunter game i ever played and the base content is gotta be the best start without a expansion. But yeah the only issues i want fixed for the game is multiplayer setup i get it crossplay is new but it's gotta be very easy to join another player lobby and environment. I really do love how they go all out with customizations and for Monster Hunter fans the story is gotta also be the best story since Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate for a base game without a expansion. I can't wait for a expansion when it comes! I'm sure Capcom is gonna cook with the expansion and add alot more content like they did in monster hunter rise sunbreak and world iceborne. Please Capcom make this awesome game into the best game beyond any multiplayer!
