    A mediocre Metro experience

When you get a Metro game, you'll have a great gaming experience out of it through its immersive game design and great story writing from the original author himself. Unfortunately, Metro Awakening is not that great Metro game. It starts off strong in the first four chapters, then the game starts to get repetitive by reusing similar levels and set pieces that is a desperate cry from the developers to stretch the game out to justify it's $40 worth. The story writing is okay, had a decent writing from the first act and maybe during the finale. It was definitely not written by the author like in the previous games because he wouldn't write a forgettable journey like this. (Creative Consultant only) The game world design often felt embarrassingly small and its graphics looked muddy that this game was designed for a low end vr platform first before porting this game to other vr platforms that have high end hardware. The gameplay is like the first two Metro titles so it's cool to play this game with manual interaction with your weapons and tools. Though it's a mixed bag because sometimes my weapon missed a headshot despite looking down on the sights; and swapping out weapons do require you to drag out your backpack and then select your weapon you want to use, which would be janky during a firefight. Overall, I was excited to play another Metro title since I was hoping it'll be another great game like the others, but it's not. A mixed gameplay design, lack of unique level design, and a forgettable story. But it's not the worst game I've ever played, just an okay game with the Metro name or not. So if you're looking to get this game to add to your PS VR2 library, you should wait for a sale, at most $20 or less. I regret paying the full price of $40, so shame on me for having blind faith on this game. The reason why it's two stars because it's decent game that gets more unbearable as its flaws grow more throughout until the end. So it's the only Metro game that I'll never replay and forget that it ever existed.
