Bugged Trophies, No City maps, Lacking Collectibles Tracker, Extremely Basic side quests with SO much potential. Had fun, but feel more disappointed by the end. Doesn't feel worth more than 10-1 bucks
Fun story but like the previous game there's no map to help me remember my way around each area, or where side quest npc's are located. There's no way to help find all the chests and gold balloons you have left, so you have to play through every single tiny part of every level until I find the 3 or 4 balloons that I need. Oh there isn't even a tracker that lists how many balloons I have for each level or how many I need in total for the very last costume. I gave it one star because yes its fun, but missing polish and quality of life that's way too common for new release games, ESPECALLY at $40. There were also some fun and wacky animations, but it felt like %90 percent of the story is just standing dialogue. Not really the epic wild adventure that a SpongeBob game deserves, the side quests were also extremely basic and could have been SO MUCH more especially with settings like king Neptune's palace. But instead its fetch quest items with no cutscenes, just more standing dialogue and a chest. Lastly what killed it for me is my bugged trophies, i cant even get my platinum trophy if I wanted to. I must've thrown 50 enemies into goo and still no "cool them off" trophy. It's like the previous SpongeBob game I couldn't get my platinum because of a trophy bug with purchasing costumes that was never fixed. By the end I'm extremely disappointed, wait for sale like 10 bucks
