Without a doubt, the worst game I’ve played in a long time

I love this genre, and I’m a regular cod player. Given some decent hype about this game, I figured I’d try it. What a colossal waste. The actual mechanics are terrible on the PS5- I will be killed by someone before I see them, or I’ll unload an entire clip on them only for it to have no effect and they kill me seemingly with one shot. I’m not sure if it is tuned for a PC and better there, but the console experience is terrible. Sniper rifle right to the head? Sorry, they don’t die, now you need to rerack your gun and they take you out. Ha ha it takes forever to respawn, and then it you respawn and are killed by some camper immediately. Have fun! The only thing more sad than the game is that I can’t get a refund. What a waste of money and I’m really disappointed in myself for wasting money on it.

Waste of money

I bought this game because people said this is a fun game. But instead I wasted my money. Everytime I try to play this piece of garbage of a game I kept getting spawn killed every single time and also I find this game boring. I wished I never bought it to begin with. For those that haven't played this game yet I 100% don't recommend this at all.

Eh

honestly it’s alright. I’m level 100 and I’m over it. All the maps suck and 90 % of the guns suck

If You Don't Like This Game, Install COD...

This game is FANTASTIC. BF6 makes up for everything that went wrong with BF 2042. The launch was very good, I've put about 20-40 hours into this game already and haven't noticed any "game-breaking" bugs or glitches. The maps are dynamic and every mode requires high levels of teamwork/squad synergy. The biggest issue I have right now is all the folks switching over from COD, who don't understand the class-based system and don't repair vehicles, revive teammates, etc. Seriously though, if you're a fan of Battlefield, this is the best title in the series since BF1. We'll see how the microtransactions and "season" style affects this, but so far, so good. I haven't spent a dime outside the purchase price and still have had tons of fun on this game.

A Cheaters Paradise

EA is plagued with cheating for both battlefield and call of duty. Battlefield 6 follows suit over the last few years of multiplayer cheating that has taken away the fun and competitive nature around what these games used to be. I blame myself for not doing more research but then again why should I have to do research to see if a game is plagued with cheating? EA, you'll take no more money of mine.

Chaos (Camping Rewarded)

This game is not fun! There are a select few people who seem to like it, but it’s pure chaos. Dying comes a lot and often. Campers stake out the map and you often get killed just trying to spawn. The game teaches you to camp and just wait as people try to get objectives. I’ve played several games and several hours and it’s always the same. If you attack you get wasted by campers. If you defend you just camp. This is the worst Battlefield game I’ve played. I’m constantly getting killed from clear across the map by guys with submachine guns. There’s no mix of gameplay it’s just rinse and repeat. I don’t know how people constantly know where I am. I finally unlocked the silencer, I don’t run out in the open, and I still get killed by some camper. The worst multiplayer game I’ve ever played! COD has cheaters but you can at least block them. The maps usually punish you for camping in COD.

Best Battlefield of all time!!!

I've played them all except Hardline and this by far is the best one. It has it all the modes you want to play. I loved playing PUBG but the Battle Royale in BF6 is 4X better in every way. Right out of the box 25 hours in and no bugs noticed. Extremely well put together. My adrenaline pumps so hard playing its a rush!

Hoped for BF2-Style Epic Battles, Got CoD-Size Maps Instead

My fault for not digging deeper—I watched multiple YouTube reviews, and none of them mentioned that BF6’s maps are CS2/CoD-sized (biggest map, Mirak Valley, is a pathetic ~0.59 km² compared to BF2’s glorious 1.5 km² beasts like Dalian Plant). Vehicles are useless (tanks and jets are just cannon fodder on these postage-stamp maps), epic pushes and flanking routes are nonexistent, and it’s nothing but constant infantry zerg rushes with SMGs everywhere—no combined-arms soul, just run-and-gun chaos like Black Ops 7. From the very first match something felt wrong. I played a few hours before the sinking realization hit: this is Battlefield skin stretched over a Call of Duty skeleton. Professional reviews completely glossed over it (I so wish I’d seen AngryJoe’s review before buying). I’ve never wanted a refund this badly in my life. If you’re expecting old-school Battlefield, stay far away.

Trending in the wrong direction

While the core gameplay is still enjoyable, I was disappointed in how portal/PvE game modes were made irrelevant by taking away XP gains for playing those modes. As someone who LOVES the core gameplay but struggles to compete in PvP lobbies, I was really hoping for Co-op PvE/portal lobbies where I could get the full gameplay experience but at my own pace and still work toward unlocking gadgets and attachments. I'm not looking to "cheese" the progression system or gain any unfair advantages. I just want to enjoy part of the game I thought I was buying. The Redsec addition is fine (maybe even good to give the more competitive players an outlet from destroying me in conquest), but I'm not really into BR. The battle pass progression for non-BR players is also ridiculously slow but that's to be expected. Just STOP advertising premium passes/currency to me. I already paid $70 for the game but feel like I'm being shaken down to spend more on a mode I didn't ask for.
