Still going downhill

Hitting is awful, pitching is also awful. Diamond Dynasty trending towards a pay to win model with some cards only unlockable through microtransactions. The RNG seems more rigged against the player when hitting and pitching vs the computer. For instance your pitcher will throw 4 balls in a row no matter how hard you try to throw a strike. Then the sometimes the computer batters seem to hit everything you throw no matter what. When batting it seems the computer gets on base when it wants off 1 hit while the player can hit the ball 10 times and be Out every single time. Perfect hits are way too often Outs also. Just not a good baseball game this year I give it 1 star.

The evolution of baseball gaming from 2006 to 2026

Many gamers today are too young to fully appreciate the incredible evolution of the MLB the show franchise from 2006 to 2026. What started as a promising baseball simulation became one of the most iconic and realistic sports gaming series ever created. Over the years, MLB The Show continuously raised the bar with more realistic batting mechanics, smoother fielding controls, smarter AI, and graphics that improved dramatically year after year. The advanced physics engine made every hit, catch, and pitching duel feel authentic, bringing fans closer to the real game of baseball than ever before. The series also delivered immersive career modes like Road to the Show, allowing players to experience the journey from a young prospect to a baseball superstar. Franchise mode, online competition, stadium detail, commentary, and player animations all evolved into a complete baseball experience that captured the heart of the sport. MLB The Show didn’t just improve visually, it respected baseball culture and realism in a way few sports games ever have and the franchise became a benchmark for sports simulation gaming and remains a testament to how far video games have evolved over the past two decades.

If this isn't your job then it's not for you

Game play is great but if you this isn't your job and just a hobby you should stick to madden or NHL

Awful game awful PS help

Bought this game and regret it, the game is awful. Franchise mode was ruined, trade hub is awful. Good in theory but the execution is not good. Then add on top of that, Playstation will not refund any game that is downloaded which is crazy because how am I supposed to know if the game is good or bad. Had it for less than 24 hours and now I am stuck with a game I do not want.

Not Good

Genuinely frustrating experience playing this game. Screen load times are as long as a full minute, network errors constantly that kick you from even menu tabs, and the UI is an absolute downgrade. If you love baseball like me and want to play a baseball video game, this won’t scratch that itch. Just find something else

'26 Changes

More colleges = good change. The new layout changes, the long delays for trades, and locked players in the trade process all took the fun of the GAME away for me. I uninstalled '26 and reloaded '25. I am finished with the franchise.
